April 8th, 2020 – We hope everyone is keeping it together during this unprecedented time. We’re here with you. We took a few days off from the studio to shoot some footage for the documentary and handle some responsibilities around the homestead. Also, got in a new pedal but had to swap it for something better suited for our needs. Hopefully life gets back to normal soon but until then don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers.
April 1st, 2020 – It feels like spring is in the air. Hopefully the warm weather will turn the tide of the pandemic. That could just be an April Fool’s joke though. The lead vocal for Sunflower is coming along nicely. It’s almost time to start sprinkling in some extra fun bits. Got to be add another guitar part also for some added texture and movement. All is well in love and war.
March 27th, 2020 – The shelves are looking bare, everything is closed, social distancing is the new normal but we will be okay. Sunflower has begun. The vocals sessions have started. We’re off to the races. Looking forward to getting this one knocked out to have a nice little crop of songs going. Everyone please stay safe and healthy during these uncertain times.
March 23rd, 2020 – Quarantine is in full effect. The isolation has been nice for making music. Got the vocals done for 100 Times A Day and a new mix. Just two more guitar parts to go. A few tweaks and another classic is in the bag. Sunflower vocals are the next thing to tackle. Everyone stay safe, sane and happy. We’ll get through this together by staying apart.
March 18th, 2020 – Well, another day and society is still unraveling all around us. Practice your social distancing, wash those hands and good luck finding toilet paper. The mix for 100 Times A Day is coming along. Not happy with it quite yet, but it’s coming along. Fixed a little bit of mixing in Peace Dove. More 100 Times A Day to come. The documentary is looking nice and action packed. Tonight is about discussing some ideas for it. Stay healthy and stay happy!
March 16, 2020 – It’s pretty wild in the world right now with this pandemic. Keep you and your loved ones healthy. Anyway, we know things are crazy but the music must go on. We finished Blackfoot’s guitar parts for most of 100 Times A Day. The fabled guitar solo is next. Then final vocal touches and mixing. The Synergy rig will soon make its triumphant return from California. A new guitar that needs some work will be staying amongst the family now, albeit begrudgingly. A couple of other guitars have also made their way into the arsenal as of late. There is a light at the end of this tunnel.
